Nancy Zisk
Associate Professor of Law

Nancy L. Zisk is a graduate of Duke University, with a B.A. in English and Psychology, and an honors graduate of Duke University Law School.

Zisk, who joined the school in 2004, teaches torts and employment law. In 2006, she was named "professor of the year" by students and associate dean for academic affairs by the school. In 2007, she was made an associate professor.

Prior to coming to Charleston, Zisk was an adjunct professor of law at the Washington College of Law at American University in Washington, D.C., where she taught Remedies.

She also has been in private practice, with Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld, and Ross, Dixon & Bell, both in Washington, D.C., where she specialized in employment and complex insurance coverage litigation, and most recently as a sole practitioner in Fairfax County, Virginia.
