Law school announces Spring Professionalism Series
Area lawyers, members of the public can attend

JAN. 28, 2005 -- The Charleston School of Law will host a spring lecture series that will provide students and interested area lawyers with dynamic professional information that will deepen their understanding of legal issues.

In February, for example, U.S. District Judge Cameron Currie of the District of South Carolina and Columbia lawyer Pamela Roberts will discuss the influence of women in the legal profession. In March, senior U.S. District Judges Sol Blatt Jr. and Matthew Perry will provide perspectives gleaned from more than 100 years in the legal profession. Other lectures will address malpractice, professionalism and legal responsibilities in the corporate world.

While students are required to attend as part of their legal studies, local attorneys are welcome. Members of the public are also welcome if space permits. Anyone interested in attending should first contact the law school at 843.329.1000.
