lawyers Cook, Eberle to join law school faculty
CHARLESTON, S.C., Aug. 15, 2006 - Respected Charleston lawyers
William J. Cook and Kevin R. Eberle will teach during
the 2006-07 academic year at the Charleston School of Law, Dean
Richard Gershon announced.
Cook to teach property law and appellate practice

Cook will teach
property law and appellate practice in 2006-07 as a visiting assistant
professor of law. A former law clerk to the Hon. Kaye Hearn, chief
judge of the South Carolina Court of Appeals, Cook most recently
worked as an attorney at Hulsey Litigation Group, LLC, in Charleston,
S.C., where he focused his practice on complex civil litigation,
research, and brief writing.
A graduate of the University of South Carolina School of Law
with a bachelor's degree from Furman University, Cook has also
worked at a nationally-recognized plaintiff's firm and in the
general counsel's office of an international auction house in
New York City. Cook, a member of the board of the Preservation
Society of Charleston, taught legal writing as an adjunct professor
at the Charleston School of Law for two years before joining the
faculty.
Eberle to direct legal writing program

Eberle also taught legal
writing as an adjunct professor for two years at the school before
joining this year as director of legal writing. A former member
of the editorial board of The South Carolina Lawyer, Eberle
previously had a commercial litigation and appellate practice
at Rosen, Rosen & Hagood, LLC, in Charleston, S.C.
Eberle holds a law degree from the University of South Carolina
School of Law and a bachelor's degree from the College of William
and Mary. He is a past associate editor-in-chief of the University
of South Carolina Law Review. He also is a member of the board
of directors of the Preservation Society of Charleston and on
the board of directors of the College of William and Mary Alumni
Club. He serves as president of the Hampton Park Terrace Neighborhood
Association.
