judges, others to speak at school's spring lecture series
JAN. 21, 2008 -- The Charleston School of Law's Spring 2008 Professionalism
Speaker Series starts out with a bang this week with talks by
two major federal judges.
The Hon. Edward J. Damich, chief judge of the U.S. Court of Federal
Claims in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday will discuss the professionalism
and cooperative justice. Two days later , the Hon. William W.
Wilkins Jr., of Greenville, senior judge of the U.S. Court of
Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, will discuss, "Lessons You
Can't Learn from a Law Book."

Jan. 22, 2008, 5 p.m.: The Hon. Edward
J. Damich, chief judge of the U.S. Court of Federal Claims,

Feb. 27, 2008, noon: The Hon. Margaret
Seymour, U.S. District Judge, District of South Carolina. Location:
Charleston Museum, 360 Meeting Street.

March 26, 2008, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.: U.S.
Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. (Three judges from the federal
appellate court will hold oral arguments on three cases.) Location:
The Charleston Music Hall, 37 John Street.
