Professor, student honored by professional associations

FEB. 27, 2008 - - Two members of the Charleston School of Law Community have been elected this month to positions with legal professional organizations:

  • First-year law student Johnathan Miller has been elected as a circuit governor to represent all law students in the U.S. Fourth Judicial Circuit on the American Bar Association Law Students Division Board of Governors.   • Legal Writing Professor Jon Marcantel has been elected to serve as a delegate in the S.C. Bar Association's House of Delegates. He is among delegates representing the state's Ninth Judicial Circuit. Marcantel, a graduate of the College of Charleston and the University of South Carolina School of Law, also this year was named assistant editor of a national legal professional publication called the Journal of the Legal Writing Institute (http://www.journallegalwritinginstitute.org ).
