TV's Greenburg to be law school graduation speaker
MARCH 3, 2008 - - ABC News Legal Correspondent Jan Crawford
Greenburg will serve as speaker at the Charleston School of
Law's second commencement ceremony on May 10, Dean Andy Abrams
announced today.
"Our students will love hearing from Ms. Greenburg, whose
penetrating analysis of the U.S. Supreme Court in her book from
last year highlighted how the court was moving in a more conservative
direction," he said. "We're honored to have a journalist,
lawyer and author of her caliber to join - and inspire - us at
graduation."
Ms. Greenburg, who covers the Supreme Court and national legal
issues for ABC News in Washington, D.C., is author of Supreme
Conflict: The Inside Story of the Struggle for Control of the
United States Supreme Court. It was published in January
2007 by Penguin Press.
A graduate of the University of Chicago Law School (1993) and
the University of Alabama (1987), Ms. Greenburg is a veteran reporter
who has covered legal affairs for the Chicago Tribune and The
NewsHour with Jim Lehrer on PBS. She also served as a legal analyst
for the CBS Evening News and its weekly Face the Nation public
affairs show.
A member of the New York bar, Ms. Greenberg and her husband Douglas
have four children and live in Washington, D.C.
